Safari World is a first for Koh Kong province, a popular attraction for both locals and foreigners. There are many kinds of wildlife ranging from birds and monkeys, to dolphins and crocodiles. Some of the animals have been training to provide show to entertain the visitor's.

Rabbit Island (Koh Tonsay)

Rabbit Island (Koh Tonsay in Khmer) is a great day trip which takes approximately half an hour by boat from Kep Beach. Bring your swimmers and have a paddle in the warm sheltered water, or just sun bathe on the beautiful beaches. There are a few vendors on the island serving crab curry and occasionally, a cold beer (you might like to pack your own.) A boat to Rabbit Island will cost you $15 for a return trip. Make sure to protect yourself from the sun as most boats don't have selther.

Teuk Chhou Zoo, near Kep

The Teuk Chhou zoo is a half hour tuk tuk ride from Kep in Cambodia. This small private zoo features an large collection of animals including monkeys, gibbons, sun bears, deer, elephants, lions, tigers, birds and snakes. If you come at the right time of year you may even see lion and tiger cubs. Entry is $5 for a foreigner with a small charge if you want to drive your car through the zoo. The ticket includes access to the national park and you can have a nice swim in the cool and clean water of the Teuk Chhou River.

The good views in Kohkong

Koh Kong is the most southwestern province of Cambodia. It is one of the biggest provinces in the whole country with a long undeveloped coastline and a mountainous, forested and largely inaccessible interior, which embraces part of the Cardamom Mountains, the biggest coherent rainforest of Southeast Asia. Its tourist attractions include abundant wildlife; big waterfalls and casinos on the border to Thailand, while an Export Processing Zone and new port facilities are being developed for international trade.

Cham Yeam Resort

Located at Mondul Sey Ma District, near the Cambodia-Thailand, border 8km from Koh Kong. Cham Yeam is a natural and man-made resort founded by Neak Ouk Nka Li Yung Phat in 1997. Nowadays, Cham Yeam has become an international tourist resort with five-star hotels, guesthouses, casinos and various other entertainments.

Is the biggest island in Cambodia? It’s located off the coast of Koh Kong District about 24km from Koh Kong town. There are many hills o¬n Koh Mool and 10 waterfalls ranging from 6m to 25m in height. In the afternoon, black and white dolphins are visible from all six of Koh Mool’s beaches.

Koh Kong Information

I and many others like Koh Kong. It has its own unique village charm. Many Expats who live in Thailand use Koh Kong as thier "Visa Run". It has peace and quite, can be easily walked around, many cheap hotels food etc and there is some nightlife as well. You will see village life here. Kids will say hello and ice is cut by hand. Try Koh Kong and you will come back.

Welcome to Koh Kong Cambodia. The new bridge and the road to Phnom Penh is now open. Koh Kong is a quaint and interesting border village that shouldn't be missed. Stop and enjoy us while traveling through SE Asia. Villages like Koh Kong are getting very rare nowadays. Children say hello, ice is cut by hand and although  life is slow it is very enjoyable.

Kep Beach is east of Kampot. Koh Tonsai (rabbit island) to the left is a nice getaway and can be reached by hired boat from Kep. Some people stay in Kep although Kampot is only 20 minutes away. In Kep, destroyed abandoned villas line the hillsides. East of Kep along the southern route near highway 2 is the site of Phnom Bayuang. Here there is a Prasat on a hill top. Though quite a climb, it has breath taking view of the marshlands to the north and Vietnam to the south.
